Brightin Star 9mm f/5.6 Review
90
The Brightin Star 9mm f/5.6 lens is an excellent wide-angle optic for full-frame cameras. It offers surprising sharpness and usability, along with the bonus feature of screwing in 34mm filters. The build quality is virtually the same as the 7 Artisan's 9mm full-frame optic. It is a bit more expensive in some places, but the ability to use ND filters makes it worth the extra cost.

The Brightin Star 9mm f/5.6 lens is practically the same as the 7 Artisan's 9mm full-frame optic, offering excellent sharpness and usability. The build quality is virtually identical to the 7 Artisan's lens, with the same body, build, and optical quality. This lens has the bonus feature of being able to screw in 34mm filters, including its own stop ND filter. This allows for creative control over shutter speeds, especially on such a wide lens. While the slightly higher price may be a downside for some, the ability to use ND filters makes it worth the cost difference. The Brighton Star lens also differs in price from the 7 Artisan's lens in some places, but the added feature of using ND filters justifies the extra expense for many photographers.
