The 4k footage is reasonably sharp, and the 1080p footage is excellent, providing sharpness and contrast. The autofocus system is fast and flawless, outperforming even older Sony cameras. The camera has a solid, comfortable feel, and the battery life is impressive. The viewfinder is high quality, and the screen has fantastic anti-glare coating. The EOS R also features a focus guide for manual focusing, and the EF to RF mount adapter provides flawless autofocus with older lenses. However, the camera is not as small as it could be, and the lack of in-body stabilization and only one card slot are limitations. Despite these drawbacks, the Canon EOS R is a joy to shoot with and produces stunning images.
