The Dyson Omni-glide is a game-changer for hard floor vacuuming. It uses Dyson soft rollers, which are highly effective for hard floor pickup. The rollers spin in multiple directions to pick up debris, including large debris and super fine dust. The articulating neck and 360-degree casters on the bottom make it incredibly maneuverable and able to reach places regular vacuums can't. The vacuum is lightweight, making it easy to handle, and the handle design is in line with traditional cordless styles. Despite its small size, the dust bin is efficient and the removable battery is a plus. In terms of performance, while it may not have the most powerful suction, its pickup ability is more mechanical than power-based, making it nearly perfect for all types and sizes of debris on hard floors. The omnidirectional ability allows for back and forth sweeping while effectively cleaning the floors. The motion is all wrist movements, with no resistance, making it easy and quick to use. However, the battery life is not great, and it only lasts about 20 minutes on standard power. Maintenance of the brush is a must, as it can easily get caught in the axles. The included tools and vacuuming experience were not as expected, but the Dyson Omni-glide is still a great value for the price, especially for households with exclusively hard floors.
