The Canon RF 24-105mm f/2.8 L IS Z is a versatile lens with a wide focal range and a unique aperture. At 1.3 kg, it is heavy, but it feels and looks like a 70-200 f2.8 lens, making it substantial and large for the 24-105mm range. The lens offers a seamless aperture ring, customizable controls, geared slotting, manual focus, and a dampened manual focus, making it versatile for photography and video work. The lens features a 5.5 stop stabilizer and provides good macro capabilities at 105mm, making it great for wedding and documentary photography. The lens also delivers a unique 11 bladed aperture and offers great autofocus, making it ideal for wedding and event photography. However, the lens does exhibit some onion ring effect in the bokeh, and has noticeable color fringing and distortion at wide apertures. In terms of sharpness, the lens performs well at f/2.8 at both 24mm and 105mm, with reduced sharpness in the corners at f/2.8 at 24mm, and with natural distortion being corrected in the file. Overall, the Canon RF 24-105mm f/2.8 L IS Z is a versatile lens with unique capabilities ideal for professional use, despite its weight.

The lens also delivers a unique 11 bladed aperture and offers great autofocus, making it ideal for wedding and event photography.
