The new Gigabyte Aero 15 laptop has nice upgrades over the older model, making it a great option for gamers or content creators.

  • 4K OLED screen
  • Excellent performance
  • Good design and build quality
  • Versatile connectivity options
  • 60Hz refresh rate may not be ideal for gaming
  • PWM modulation on the screen
  • Minor keyboard issues

The newer LED panels are better in this regard than previous models, offering improved screen performance.

The Gigabyte Aero 15 OLED XA laptop has some notable improvements over its predecessor. Equipped with an Intel i7 9750H CPU, RTX 2070 Max-Q graphics, 16GB memory, and a 4K 15.6-inch OLED display, it's a compelling option for gamers or content creators. The laptop features solid metal build, thin bezels, and weighs around 2 kilos, so it’s portable and lightweight. The OLED screen is impressive, with excellent color accuracy, brightness, and contrast ratio. However, the 60Hz refresh rate and PWM modulation may not be ideal for gaming. The laptop's performance has been significantly improved, thanks to better thermal design and AI features, resulting in enhanced CPU and GPU limits. Although some thermal throttling was observed, the laptop's gaming performance was above average. The keyboard has been updated for better responsiveness, but there are still some minor issues like the lack of secondary key lighting and keyboard flex. The laptop has a wide range of features, including a full suite of I/O ports, making it versatile for various use cases, despite minor inconveniences such as the camera placement. Overall, the Gigabyte Aero 15 OLED XA laptop offers great all-around features and performance in a compact package, making it a compelling choice for users.

The laptop offers some nice improvements over the older one, which for the most part resolved the small issues I had with the older model.
