The ASUS Scar II (GL504GV) gaming laptop with RTX 2060 offers excellent gaming performance and good thermals for the price. It has a high refresh rate screen, good keyboard, and decent battery life. The laptop has some RGB lighting but comes with some annoying fan noise.

The laptop sports a brushed metal lid with an ROG logo, a well-built interior, and a sturdy carbon fiber texture. Despite being slightly thick, it remains well-built and the dimensions and weight are manageable. The high refresh rate screen offers good color accuracy and a decent contrast ratio.The laptop features a chiclet keyboard with four-zone RGB backlighting that can be managed through the armory crate software. It also offers ample connectivity options, including HDMI 2.0 and USB 3.1 ports. The laptop's gaming performance and thermals are impressive, and there's room for overclocking the CPU and under-volting the CPU to boost performance. The battery life is decent, offering good portability for a gaming laptop. The cooling system effectively manages temperatures, and there is no thermal throttling, ensuring consistent performance during gaming.However, the laptop comes with some drawbacks. The presence of RGB lighting and the positioning of the webcam are a plus, but the fans can be noisy, which might be an annoyance. The absence of G-SYNC support is a downside for some gamers, and the storage speeds are not significantly better than SATA SSDs.
