The lens comes with a large metallic manual ring which turns incredibly smooth, and the focus motor works very well. The lens shows very little in the way of focus breathing, making it useful for video makers as well. Despite a small amount of barrel distortion, the lens performs well in terms of image quality and sharpness, especially at the wide f/1.4 aperture. Chromatic aberration is minimal, and the bokeh is smooth and pleasing. Overall, the lens is a versatile and high-quality option for Fuji X system users.
