The lens is sharp throughout the entire zoom range, with images being razor sharp at F4 in the middle and excellent in the corners. It also has excellent bokeh and minimal longitudinal chromatic aberration. The lens features a life-size maximum magnification, allowing for great macro shots. Although it has some minor issues with vignetting and distortion, these are generally corrected by modern cameras. The build quality of the lens is top-notch, and it is well-featured, making it the best-built and featured zoom lens the reviewer has ever handled.
