The Sigma 18-300mm f3.5-6.3 DC OS Macro C4 is a versatile lens designed for APS-C cameras, with a huge zoom range that goes from wide-angle to super telephoto. The lens has a reputation for offering superior quality compared to the competition, and while it does provide good build quality, the autofocus and stabilization are not the best. The maximum aperture of F3.5 darkens to a very limiting F6.3 at the telephoto end, making it tricky to work in low light conditions. The image quality is acceptable given the wide zoom range, producing some sharp images when the aperture is stopped down. The lens also has decent macro capability, being able to focus as closely as 39cm. However, it does tend to show quite a lot of flare when shooting against bright light sources. The lens feels like a solid piece of equipment, with a nice, well-designed build and a smooth zoom ring. However, the autofocus is a bit old-fashioned and the optical stabilization for video work is not the best. While the lens provides decent image quality and nice build quality, there are better options available for those who prioritize image stabilization and autofocus.Overall, the Sigma 18-300mm f3.5-6.3 DC OS Macro C4 is a good option for those who want a budget-friendly super zoom lens with nice build quality, but it may not be the best choice for those who prioritize image stabilization and autofocus.

The maximum aperture of F3.5 darkens to a very limiting F6.3 at the telephoto end, making it tricky to work in low light conditions.
