The Sigma 14-24mm f/2.8 DG DN 'Art' lens is incredibly sharp and impressively versatile. It excels in all areas of performance and provides stunning image quality, making it the sharpest ultra-wide zoom lens I've ever tested.

Pros
  • Incredibly sharp image quality
  • Versatile and compact
  • Impressive build quality
  • Great performance on full-frame and APS-C cameras
Cons
  • Inability to use conventional filters

Despite the inability to use conventional filters, the lens offers a great joy in all areas of performance, deeply impressing with its versatility, relatively compact size, and solid build quality.

The Sigma 14-24mm f/2.8 DG DN 'Art' lens is a versatile, compact, and incredibly sharp lens suitable for full-frame shooters. It offers a wide range, from a very wide angle of 24mm to an impressive 14mm, making it ideal for landscape and astro photography. Despite its relatively compact size, the lens has a solid build quality, with a mixture of metal and plastic, and a smooth, quiet autofocus motor. However, the lens does not support conventional filters, which can be a drawback for some users. Image quality is exceptional, with sharpness and clarity maintained throughout the entire zoom aperture range. The lens also performs well on APS-C cameras, providing great sharpness and performance, even when stopped down. While distortion and vignetting are present at wider angles, they can be improved by adjusting settings or using in-camera correction. Additionally, the lens produces beautifully soft bokeh, adding to its overall appeal.

The lens produces beautifully soft bokeh and is one of the most enjoyable and useful ultra-wide-angle lenses I've tested.
