Despite being a fully manual lens, it is easy to use and has a very solid and well-built construction. The lens delivers razor-sharp images with good contrast levels, and the quality of the out-of-focus backgrounds is very nice and smooth. Although there is a slight decrease in contrast with bright lights in the frame, there are very few artifacts and little noticeable chromatic aberration. Overall, the Samyang 12mm f/2.8 lens provides excellent image quality and is a very affordable piece of equipment, making it a highly recommended option for both photo and video work, especially in low light or nighttime situations.
